i-ais-A Airborne Military AIS Transponder, Airborne AIS System, is an Automatic Identification System enhanced for military requirements defined in STANAG 4668 (Ed.2) and 4669 (Ed.2).
i-ais-ATA, Airborne Military AIS Transponder is a Class A station that also provides tactical functionalities such as secure communication and bogus transmissions in addition to standard AIS functions.
The i-ais-ATA Airborne Military AIS Transponder can operate in three different modes as defined in STANAG’s:
▶ Mode 1: Standard AIS mode (Active Mode / Class-A AIS Mode). The AAIS Transponder operates as a standard civilian AIS to transmit and receive, compliant with the ITU 1371-5 standard.
▶ Mode 2: Receive only mode (Passive Mode). The AAIS Transponder only receives AIS information without transmitting. While in passive mode AAIS Transponder also receives encrypted AIS messages.
▶ Mode 3: Secure mode (encrypted) (Protected Mode). The AAIS Transponder shall receive and transmit encrypted information on the selected protected mode frequency. The AAIS shall still receive all unencrypted transmissions from commercial AIS equipped ships within range.
Protected mode configuration settings should be made according to defined in STANAG 4668.
– Protected mode frequency: Operator can set the frequency values between 155.000 – 163.000 Mhz and in the range of 0.025 Mhz.
– Link Type : BFT or STEDS
– Encryption Type: AES or Blowfish
– Key lenght: It change according to encryption type AES or Blowfish.
Also While in Protected Mode:
· Operator can create and run spoofing scenarios for ships and airbornes
· Transmit and receive Track of Interest messages
· Transmit and receive Text messages
Leading Functions:
- Overlapped AIS Message extraction capability
- Capable of receiving or transmitting encrypted information in secure operation mode
- The secure mode of the i-ais-ATA is provided with well known AES and Blowfish encryption algorithms
- Encryption keys can be entered manually or uploaded through User Interface Unit using a USB device
- Spoofing capability, user can generate bogus tracks
- Remote control functionality over ethernet
- OTH-Gold Conversion
User Interface Software:
