ALACA Ka Band Radar Cross Section Measurement System

ALACA Ka Band Radar Cross Section Measurement System

Innovative Technologies at Millimeter Wave Frequency Band

REAL TIME OPERATION

ALACA Radar Cross Section Measurement System is a solid-state based, pulse-doppler radar and operating frequency is Ka-Band. Radar Instantaneous Bandwidth is 50MHz and range resolution can be adjusted as 3m, 6m and 9m. ALACA displays the images of the target platform to the operator during the measurement with the High-Resolution Day / Night Camera and automatically records them at the same time.

Naval vessels needs to reduce their visibility and hence maximize their survivability by ensuring
that their RCS signature is as small as possible. Decreasing of RCS signature is necessary to ensure
that a ship is able to success fully perform its mission while maintaining its level of survivability and
ensuring it screw remains safe.

ALACA from Meteksan has co-polarization (Horizontal transmit/Horizontal receive-HH, Vertical transmit/Vertical receive-W”,and cross-polarization
(Horizontal transmit/Vertical receive-HV and Vertical transmit/Horizontal receive-VH) capability.
ALACA Ka Band RCS Measurement Systemis a Solid-State based, pulse-Doppler radar. Operating Frequency can be adjusted between
34.650-35.150 MHz. Radar Instantaneous Bandwidth is 50MHz. Range resolution can be adjusted as 3m, 6m and 9m.

System displays the images of the target platform to the operator during the measurement with the High Resolution DayI Night
Camera and automatically records them at the same time.
ALACA operates at 220V,50Hz.The average power consumption of the system is 500Watt. ALACA is designed for use in an inshore
environment to perform dynamic RCS measurements of full-scales hips.
