RCU-9310D REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
The Sunair RCU-9310D is a full-function remote control unit designed for use with the 9000D series of radios, transmitters, and receivers.
The next generation RCU’s front panel, with TFT display and keyboard entry, is identical to the unit being controlled, providing operational ease.
The RCU provides the same operating modes as the radio, including AME, NB-FM, USB, LSB, ISB, CW, and Data (with external modems); and it is
also capable of remotely controlling the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) functions of the RT-9000D when the radio is equipped with the internal ALE option.
The RCU-9310D provides remote operation of Sunair peripheral equipment, including the F-9800 Pre-Selector/Post-Selector,
LPA-9500/LPA-9600 Power Amplifiers, and CU-9125/CU-9150 Antenna Couplers.
The Sunair RCU-9310D may be remoted using RS-232/RS-422 or for longer distances using Ethernet or leased lines via an optional internal FSK modem.
Furthermore, using RS-422 or Ethernet allows the RCU to control several 9000D series radios using a single control unit.
Advanced built-in-test (BITE) capability provides feedback to the lowest replaceable unit (LRU) level for both the local RCU as well as the companion 9000D series radio.
The remote control’s intuitive modular design allows for ease of maintenance and upgrade throughout the equipment life cycle at minimal expense.
Thousands are in daily service as integral components of critical strategic communications solutions worldwide.
